New Addition - Jerod Leto Joker Mod

This is the Jerod Leto Joker from the Suicide Squad movie that I received a few weeks ago (on right). I was not happy with it as the headsculpt was very plain and generic and did not look like the character in the movie at all. Also the body was molded plastic (no clothes) and it was very limited in articulation. I should just say a kit-bashed Suicide squad joker because I did not use any of the parts of the one above. I only used it as a model but even that was not authentic. I looked up the tats on the internet and sought to draw the tatoos onto the body below from the ones in the movie. On the left is the finished Kit-bashed Joker minus the Jacket I am making. What a difference.
The tatoos are taking some time since they are very detailed and I am not a very good artist :). The contours of the body also presented a problem. The tatoos were done (still have a few to do) with a ultra-fine tipped sharpie. Before the tatoos were drawn, however, the entire body had to be painted a diluted white.

Closer up of the body with the tatoos.

Getting the hands and feet ready to be painted.
Beginning to paint the hands and feet (so that his gloved hand can hold a pistol.

Spare hands painted for different poses along with beginning to paint the shoes. Also fixing the paints and making an additional pair of leather pants from an old tablet carrier that the zipper went out on.

I will add more as the process progresses and I get a good headsculpt in the future.
Finished the tatoos. Now in the case with shoes on. Headsculpt to be ordered in near future.

Also added a cane that I tried to replicate from the movie. It is made from an old paint brush and whittling on a portion of the paint brush to make the handle. Somewhat crude but looks nice. I cut a piece of the brush handle off, made a notch on one side, cut down the other and cut out a hole for the notch on the actual "cane" portion of the brush. Applied some gorilla glue and presto, a crude cane. Used pictures from the internet to replicate the paint. The purple is darker than the original from the movie. It looks nice in the display case as a finished prop.

This is a picture of the cane from the movie. Mine is much cruder but still looks nice.

Now just waiting on this headsculpt to arrive to complete the figure. I may sew a coat to him later.

These pictures were added after the headsculpt arrived on 6-26-2017. The figure poses well in the cabinet.

The type of jacket that I began to work on below for the new joker figure.

Have cut out the pieces and am starting to work on the jacket for the joker figure.

Another view of the jacket pieces minus the collar.
