Peyton Manning at Tennessee during the mid-1990s. He was drafted #1 overall in the 1998 NFL Draft.

This is the original figure prior to customization. It was a Colts Peyton Manning and the stand was missing. Had to make a stand for the figure once it was customized.

In shipping box it came in with two other loose figures.

After heating water and letting the figure soak to loosen the glue, figure was then disassembled to begin the custom.

The head with helmet often has to soak a little longer (approx 5 more minutes in extremely hot water for the glue to loosen up enough to be able to remove the helmet.

Spraying with gloss white paint.

Starting to apply the decals ( will require more paint to blend the decals in.

Priming and painting the helmet. Then applying the decals.

Mid-process

Painting the body parts with flesh colored paint.

Getting ready to paint homemade stand made from pallet board and cloth material that mimics the texture of grass.

Looked at the shoes worn by Peyton at Tennessee and attempted to paint n the strips.

Fashioned a peg from an old Star Wars weapon. Will finish the stand and drill a hole to place figure upright in stand.

I like this much better than the Indy it originally came as.

Decals on jersey and pants

I had to fashion a peg from a piece of plastic. I also used a large paper clip to fashion the support leg together since the knee joint was broken.

Attention to detail makes the difference when customizing.

The stand is made from a piece of wood pallet and some cloth that mimics the appearance of Astro turf.
Peyton is now among the other customs in the college case.
